Elijah and Jonah — An Unexpected Juxtaposition

Amid our study of the book of Kings, the character Elijah (Eliyahu) has taken us on some interesting journeys. We have begun an exploration of whether he is Pinchas, the grandson of Aaron (Aharon), and we recently discovered that the son of the widow of Tzorphath (of Kings 17), who dies and is brought back to life, may have been the prophet Jonah (Yonah) of the book of Jonah.
